What’s special about this place: This place is known as the city of ponds and temples, one of the biggest Jain pilgrimage in south India. one of the eminent heritage sites of India. This temple is located above a hill which is 60 ft tall and builds around 980 A.D. Also known as seven wonders of India. The architecture is mind-blowing, all statues here constructed on a single stone, and there is no restriction based on religion.
Thanks for sharing these great photos! The temple looks amazing. Do you live in this city? What’s the water in the middle of the city in your last photo? Can anyone go to the temple? Could you tell us the easiest way to get there?
Glad you liked the photos, My place is 150km far from this place. Anyone can go to this temple also tank in the midst of this town called “Belagola” In Kannada (the state language), 'Bela’ means white and 'kola’ means the pond, an allusion to the beautiful pond in the middle of the town. This place is also called shravanabelagola temple.
