Okay, foodies, let’s talk about something near and dear to my food heart: the bánh mì! 
All it took for me on a recent business trip to Utah to get this sandwich stuck in my head was the mere mention of it from a co-worker. I fired up Google Maps and found the closest and best-rated one near my morning run.
The Bahn Mi’s Effect On Me
This Vietnamese sandwich is a flavor explosion in every bite. A crispy baguette is stuffed with savory fillings like grilled pork, pâté, pickled veggies (carrots and daikon!), fresh cilantro, and spicy mayo. The combination of textures and tastes is just perfection. 
If you happen to be in Salt Lake City, UT, you HAVE to check out the “Little Saigon” area. This neighborhood is a hub for Vietnamese culture and the incredible bánh mì! You’ll find a bunch of spots serving up this iconic sandwich, each with its own delicious twist. At Little Saigon, however, you can also find steaming bowls of pho, perfect for a comforting and satisfying meal.
Don’t miss out on their summer rolls, served with a delicious peanut dipping sauce. For a heartier option, try the cơm tấm (broken rice served with grilled meats and pickled vegetables). It’s a little slice of Vietnam right in Utah! Go get yourself one and you won’t regret it!
