Bageshwar is a town and a municipal board in Bageshwar District in the state of Uttarakhand, India. It is located at a distance of 470 km from the National Capital New Delhi and 332 km from the State Capital Dehradun. Bageshwar is known for its scenic beauty, Glaciers, Rivers and Temples.
Bageshwar is Situated on the confluence of Saryu and Gomati rivers,Bageshwar is surrounded by the mountains of Bhileshwar and Nileshwar to its east and west and by the Suraj Kund in the north and Agni Kund in the south.above picture is taken from Chandika Temple at night .The river is saryu river originated from pindari glacier. town is small but full of rich culture.

above photo is of the sidewalk bridge in town . the man in the picture is the baba (baba is a devotee of god).huge group of baba come to the town at the time of navratri and uttreni fair .you can feel the cold air rising up from the river at this point . at night it looks more beautiful and air get more calm and chilly . the house is quite old of its time , used to built several decades ago and still so rough and tough . earlier houses are made by river rocks and mud . you will find many ancient time houses there in the bageshwar town .
Bageshwar is a beautiful town in the foothills of Himalayas so ever get a chance to visit India . must visit this place . this place has its unique identity , humble people and beauty of pahad .
