One of the many things I enjoy doing and with Google Maps which helps to facilitate is the uploading of images of places that I deem others might want to see, learn about and visit at some point. These places might be landmarks such as bridges, hotels, restaurants, parks, stores, schools, churches, police stations or anything or place noteworthy to me.
It is my intention to show the beauty of my community through the ordinary things and places which could easily be taken for granted as they are not viewed as ‘tourist spots’.
All in all it is fun posting and sharing reviews about my beloved community.
Five places I would recommend you take a look at if you’re in Georgetown, Guyana are:
-
The Promenade Gardens
-
The Sea Walls (Bandstand Area)
-
The Demerara Bridge (It floats)
-
The Parika Steling (Go across the Essequibo River in a speed boat)
-
New Amsterdam (Take a drive up, you’ll love it).
