We all know that since closure of Map Maker users can not draw roads and they only should report missing roads or needed changes.
On the other hand we know that Google is working on Artificial Intelligence to draw map automatically based on satellite images. This is very good idea in areas that we have good quality for satellite images and I was thought that Google will not start such project in areas with low quality satellite images like Iran.
But recently we received many reports (in Iran Local Guides community) that shows very bad drawing of road in many parts of the road. For example marking pedestrians only roads open for cars or creating totally wrong roads only based on visible path on satellite image. This caused very wrong shapes on the map of Iran (and maybe other countries with similar conditions) and also wrong addressing for users. For example wrong routing through dead ends those marked as open on the map automatically!
Previously we asked a lot to re-enable drawing for users (at least for some best users) but not only it didnāt enable again, but now smart drawing made road problems double! So what is the solution right now? If it was in small area we could report needed changes but we received such reports in many parts of the map of Iran.
These are very cases but only as example to clarify my explanation:
For someone like you who has been participating with accurate map details in Map Maker for more than a decadeā¦ then seeing this AI-generated disaster!
Artificial Intelligence will work best in more modern and accurately constructed roads in Europe and western countries, but in many other countries, it will just continue to make scrappy additions to the map. They need to watch the quality of its additions closely.
I hope they fix this soon, but keep documenting such errors and also send them āGeneral Feedbackā through Google Maps application, because these are your best chances to fix them currently.
My suggestion for such posts in Connect Community is to add pictures, description of the problem, and the link to the same place on Google Maps because when -in best odds- someone sees the post, it would be a lot better that all details are there to make their action faster.
Thank you for reaching out. I understand that these types of errors on the Map can be frustrating at times, but the best thing you can do in these situations is to report the incorrect information by sending a feedback. Bellow you can find the step how you can rectify such mistakes on Google Maps:
On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Maps app;
Tap Menu (burger menu) > Send feedback > Wrong information;
Select the affected road;
From the list that appears at the bottom, tap the place or road you want to fix;

I know that way dear @KlaudiyaG and I do in cases I see but firstly these days the team pay less attention to road reports and moreover this is not one or some cases. There are lots of such errors on vast area on the map that created recently by AI and it needs attention more than one general way to report road problems. I think something like known issue thread about spams in Russia and Ukraine and around countries is needed but this time about AI faults
Excuse me dear @ErmesT , may you please remove āSolutionā tag? The problem I discussed about, didnāt solve yet! And this tag causes less attention to the problem although this is a big problem in vast area. Even our road reports has no effect after months and many Iranian users is telling about denial of their reports except adding name to the unnamed road.
what is the point of reporting a problem when nobodyās going to fix it? i did a lot of fix but none of them was approved! it keep saying āGoogle couldnāt verify your editā, itās frustrating!
there was āgoogle map makerā before, and it was very good for editing local problems such this but i donāt know why they removed it!?
