I’m from Melbourne and will be in Bunbury for a week for my sister’s big birthday. She’s also someone I recruited to be a local guide recently. I thought what better present than to host a meet up to meet with other local guides who live/work nearby or happen to be in the area.
We will meet in the playground where Paris Road meets Old Coast Road at 11:30 AM for lunch/picnic. (BYO food, rugs, drinks.)
After lunch we will head over to the nearby local shopping centre across the road to do a photo and edit walk. (I notice that even the two major supermarkets there are rather lacking in photo contributions.)
We will finish our walk with some refreshments at a suitable location there around 2ish.
How will you know which group we are? Look for the local guides symbol or someone wearing a Local Guides t-shirt.
I look forward to meeting fellow local guides in the area! You are welcome to come for all or part of this meet-up/photo walk.
Thanks @MariaNgo . We have met a few Local Guides in WA. So far everyone is very spread out across the state. Usually we can bring friends or family, we’ll see
Looking forward to catching up, how’s everything been going in Melbourne?
@Osaka78forTRUMP I’ve been very busy in Melbourne. Heaps of hobbies to keep me busy and enough work to fund my hobbies I’ve also been busy writing and updating my travel blog. After I’ve done my travel blog, I share it here on the connect platform. If you are interested, check out seetheworldwithmaria.blogspot.com. I’m looking forward to seeing new sights and visiting new places over the next few weeks - more content for my travel blog. And more to share with other local guides. I wasn’t able to attend the first google supported meetup a few weeks ago (led by @PaulPavlinovich ) but which a friend of mine whom I’d recruited as a local guide and mentioned the meetup to managed to attend it, so I hope to make up for it with a meetup myself while I had time in WA. I look forward to meeting you (and possibly friends and family also?) very soon.
