This giant Buddha statue is located on the Thimphu valley. It is one of the largest Buddha statues in the world and is currently one of the main tourist attractions in Bhutan. It is made up of bronze and gilded in gold.
We can get inside the statue but currently only one floor of the throne is opened for public entry because construction works are still going on and yet to be completed. Inside the statue ,there are thousands of other smaller Buddha statues.
This site is also a good viewpoint for panoramic view of Thimphu city and its surrounding mountains. Get blessed while you enjoy the scene.
