ATTENDEE RECAP: 360 Mobile Photography/ Photos for Google Maps (3)/ Google Maps Home Page

I like attending meetups!

I love attending Meetups organized by #TeamIndia Under the tutelage of @TravellerG

The Sessions are always so organized! It’s almost like it is a ‘Physical meet’! How so?

  1. There is an M.C. - the function of the M.C. is to call on all ‘attendees’ to introduce themselves
  2. There are usually 2 Hosts. One of the Hosts will call the Attendees to introduce themselves, the other host will call on the Presenters
  3. Each Presenter comes with a ‘PowerPoint Presentation’! :astonished:
  4. There is someone that manages the slides. Like; before the session; I ‘want to believe’ each of the Presenters would have submitted their presentation
  5. Someone manages the ‘Slides’ while the ‘Presenter’ focuses on Presenting. In the event that a Local Guide scheduled to ‘Present’ does not ‘turn up’, one of the 'Hosts/M.C.s for the day takes over the Presentation and fill the 'other attendees in on what is on the slide. :astonished: :sunglasses:
  6. The meeting is ‘open’ 30 minutes before time to give room for ‘Introduction’, another ‘round of introduction’ is done at the end of the session for all those ‘who did not get to introduce themselves at the beginning’ :astonished:  The Host takes time to run through every attendees names that no one is missed out!
  7. From the Presenters; you get to know a little about them, what they love, their contributions to Google Maps, their achievements, etc. Imagine that TravellerG himself has over 70 million views on Google Maps!!!

WHAT DID I TAKE AWAY?

  1. Confidence: Right after this meet, was yet another meetup where the ‘Street  yview Knowledge’ will be very beneficial! After this meetup, I was confident I was going to be able to ‘show off’
  2. Photos for the Google Maps should be taken in; “Landscape Mode” i.e. Your Phone should be help horizontally
  3. Before Posting up ‘a sphere of Photos’ for Street view, ensure you blur out ‘faces of people’ or 'plate numbers. To do this you need any of the following; snapseed or Canva, or Photo Editor, Adobe
  4. Any of the apps listed above can also be used to add watermarks to our photos

It was an informative session…
