I noticed this little sticker on the ATM with a QR code. I scanned it, it didn’t take me to the pin drop location instead it asks me to log into my gmail account. Is this from Google or is it a scam?
Don’t give your Google ID and Password away if you are not sure about the link, @waza28
To leave a review you need to be logged in. Maybe the QR code is opening a browser where you are not logged in.
I would find the place on Google Maps manually to be safe.
By looking at the URL you will likely be able to deduct if this is a scam.

Thank you, Sir, for your valuable advice and suggestion.
Hello @waza28
As you have been told by a fellow CM please be careful of giving out personal details of any sort out. Normally as a local guide that’s not how we get reviews written except its changing. To write a review please go to the POI location pin on Google maps and leave your review of the place.
Another option would be to walk into the nearest bank associated with the ATM and explain the situation to them. Better safe than sorry !!! You did well to bring it up here anyway.
Happy guiding
Cheers
That sticker, @waza28 , seems to be part of the Marketing kit offered for free to the businesses by Google Business Profile.
However I never tried to scan the code to leave a review, even if I can see it in several businesses in my area.
What I would expect is to land on the business listings of the business in Google Maps, it doesn’t matter if logged in or not, but of you land on a different place I think you should be careful.
Maybe @InaS can give is some indication
Hi @waza28
I agree with @MortenCopenhagen . I think it leads you to the reviewing page of the place and you opened it on a browser where you’re not logged in. Simply check the whole URL after scanning and before opening it. It should contain https and be under Google.com domain to be safe.
On the other hand, when there is no responsible person in situ, I prefer not to open such links directly.
Hi @MortenCopenhagen ,
you have suggested an excellent piece of advice to ensure personal safety and privacy.
