Are you a football fan? Are you planning on visiting Qatar for the FIFA World Cup 2022?
Stadiums are progressing very well and I must say that they look amazing and the transport systems in place will be an excellent way to travel to and from the stadiums. In my previous post about The Doha Metro you will see how modern, clean, and well organised the Doha metro system is.
In the past several weeks, Qatar has hosted the 24th Arabian Gulf Cup, and currently hosting the 2019 FIFA Club World Cup. These events have been a good test to see how well prepared things are going. I understand from people I know that these events have been very well organised. They say that transport to and from the venues was fast and convenient, and security and organisation at the stadiums was world class. I didn’t attend because I’m not a football fan. I’m a Kiwi so I’m a staunch Rugby Union fan.
That’s very cool that you’re able to see the World Cup stadium while you’re there @TheEagleEye ! I’m a football fan and one of my dreams is to attend a World Cup final match one day.
I’m also a bit familiar with rugby though. I went to high school in Auckland, New Zealand… so I was rooting for the All Blacks. Too bad I never got a chance to go to their match
Hi @TheEagleEye , I’m not planning visit Catar for the World Cup, but a friend of mine is. I’ll share with him your list and your post about Doha Subway. I believe that you will help a lot of people with your tips. Thank you for sharing
I am a football fan as well . I am looking forward to the Qatar 2022 world cup. I am impressed with progress made on the preparation for the world cup so far. in the past , only transit through Doha airport. I will like visit Doha during the world cup and experience the beautiful city . I may not want to watch live matches in the stadium.
I’m really excited about this world cup in a new element, with a different weather, and I like that. I’m excited and I hope the world cup remains having only 32 teams not more. And hope this time my nation (Venezuela) is able to go to the world cup for the first time. And in Venezuela is very hot so we’d have that advantage over colder nations, and I’m happy if they go to the elimination fase, that’d be a great success. We’re the only country in our conference that has not gone to a world cup yet because our conference is such a hard one because there are many great teams.
