Araceli Farms, Lavender Fields

One of the items on my bucket list is to visit lavender fields of France. Fortunately we have few Lavender fields in California as well. There are few in Napa valley. Also lavenders are blooming now!

Araceli farm is in Dixon CA, around 90 miles from where I live (Cupertino, CA, which is in South of San Francisco Bay area). California is slowly opening up Shelter in place. However we still have to maintain social distancing in public places.

Araceli Farm is open for limited hours, you can buy tickets online, costs $5 Per head. You can reserve slot for two hours. We booked for Thursday 6-8PM, so that we can catch some good lighting in the evening. Sunset here is at 8.30PM.

Place was not very crowded, since they were controlling number visitors during two hour window. Lot of folks came dressed up for photo shoots.

Araceli Farms, Gift Shop and other Shots

Farm has a small gift shop as well, you can buy some lavender bouquets and other lavender products.

Assorted shots of Lavender fields

Once you enter the farm, you are allowed to freely walk in the farm and enjoy the farm and capture as many pictures as you want.

Looking forward to other LGs sharing Lavender pictures from your region.

  • @jayasimha78 beautiful and great shots you got here. I had similar experience at #Wellington, I really love the smell of the flowers. I did not know there is Lavender farm in USA as well. When were these photos taken? I want to know so that I can plan that in my upcoming trip!*

@Sophia_Cambodia These were taken last week 6/11. Lavenders are blooming now, so are the sunflowers.

  • @jayasimha78 by the way, how did you make the photos flash one after another in the same place? That is cool!*

Thank you for this hidden gem, @jayasimha78 ! I’m admittedly a lavender lover, and I have been to the valley a couple of times on my trips to the west coast, but only ever visiting a winery or two, so I’m definitely adding this to my list for my next visit. I’d love a bouquet but I’m not sure if you can fly with one  .

Great photos as always!

@SP31 Thanks for the appreciation, you should definitely visit in the blooming season June-July I guess.

I usually go in May and shifting to June or July would have been great, but this year unfortunately happened, so next year it is! @jayasimha78
