so i am hearing a lot about this local guide pin and how Google sends an email, well I tend to delete my emails pretty quickly when it deals with Google maps because more than not it is just saying “hey we got your edit …” now I’m wondering if I could have gotten a notification and deleted it

@imTURBO I believe that perks notifications (ie the “pin”) would probably come through email.
Perks or gifts may be given selectively to active Local Guides who contribute consistently. For more information about perks and settings, do refer to this page. Read about Local Guides Perk
If you have deleted emails, you may want to check your trash folder in Gmail, since it would stay in trash for 30 days before getting permanently deleted, unless you clear the trash folder yourself.

I just wanted to add that the rewards that Google provides as a ‘‘thank you’’ for Local Guides’ amazing contributions, have expiration dates as well and the offers can’t be extended. To maximize your chances of being eligible for a future reward opportunity, continue to add high quality contributions to Google Maps and make sure to update your email preferences.
