Anyone see this? Testing whether any of you local guides that I follow get this message. Reply if you do!

Welcome in Connect.

I am not sure to understand your question, but the answer in any case is No.

  • If you mean “local guides that I follow” in Connect, I want to let you now that in the community we can see the post of the Local Guides that We follow, by clicking on Following on the main menu, but we do not receive any information about the Local Guides that are following us
  • If you mean “local guides that I follow” in Google Maps the answer is a double No
    • Contents posted in Connect are not automatically shared in Google Maps
    • In Maps, your follower can see your content by checking the “Following” tab on the “Updates” menu, but the Local Guides that you follow will not receive any notification about what a follower post.

Of course, is someone that you follow is visiting Connect, they may have te possibility to see your post like everyone else

Adding a note, I would like to remind you that promoting your business through your Local Guide profile is against the Local Guides Program Terms and Conditions : “Organizations, brands, and businesses are not eligible for the Program.”.
