Really amazing update, I love this. But hope you also think to more spams we can see by new ranking method. For example you should create automatic system to detect duplicates place adding by different users or one user in one area or even duplicates places by one user far apart. And also about other spams like adding same photo to many places. We’ll also help you in this case about our areas to prevent from spams. Thanks

So am I to understand correctly that this new scale is per photo and per answer instead of the current policy of one point per place?

@MWJones That is correct. Now each photo and each answer get you points.

Congrats @TraciC on hitting Level 7 =) That’s awesome.

Really glad to hear of improvements to the points system and really rewarding and acknowledging all the effort put in for Answers, photos, edits etc. All these are really important activites that help to improve the overall map knowledge.

I have a question, about my photos on google maps total 5,160 photos, so 5160×5 point =25800 points, is it correct?

A little confusion @TraciC , do we get point for every photo we add or one photo per place as before

@SP31 No, it should not be related and the advice given in the discussion (to wait a few days before contacting a Google Moderator) you shared is best approach if you’re certain your reviews do not violate policies.

@YumiSapporo I recommend waiting until this update is available to you to see your new points and level.

@MadanKPradhan Yes, that is correct and is outlined in the image in the post with each contribution listed out with their point value.

I had expected new levls upto 6+ but the result is beyond my imagination i.e. upto level 10.
