The northern border of Tamil Nadu with Andhra Pradesh is shifted south. As a result, several places in Tamil Nadu are shown incorrectly to be in Andhra Pradesh.
The following villages are shown to be (fully or partially) in Andhra Pradesh but are in Tamil Nadu:
Arambakkam
Madarapakam
Poovalai
Sanaputhur
Edur
Kallur
Kannambakkam
Nellimaruthu Kandigai
Uthukottai
Guruvinayapalli
The following villages are in Andhra Pradesh, but are shown to be (fully or partially) in Tamil Nadu.
@sursol1 first I request you to send your feedback about this on Google Maps. The important thing in this feedback is that you have to submit the official map as well as the documents so that the map team can get the correctinformation about it.
With all this information you can also draw attention of the map team by posting on connect.
I urge you to read this post so that you get an idea how to post here on connect.
Thanks for your reply. I have sent the feedback with the government map. Is it possible for Google to align the border with the map in this link ( https://vlist.in/map/33.html - Click [Download Map] on the bottom of the page). Other map websites such as MapQuest and Bing Maps display the correct border.
Interestingly, Bing Maps puts the border correctly. However, when searching for Tamil Nadu in Bing Maps, Bing Maps highlights the same area that Google Maps does. Highlighting both Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu on Bing Maps shows precisely the area that is left out of Tamil Nadu mistakenly.
The city of Arambakkam is in Tamil Nadu. Google Maps shows incorrectly that it is in Andhra Pradesh and also displays the name in Telugu and not Tamil. There are many cities on the wrong side of the border. The issue is still not fixed.
