This is how a Sunday market looks like in Sri Lanka. Freshest vegetables and fruits are available only early in the morning. There is a market like this in almost every town in the country where farmers bring their produce directly to the consumers. Usually, produce can be bought cheaper at these markets than at big supermarkets. Also, produce sold here are fresher in comparison because unlike in supermarkets individual farmers bring small quantities straight from their farm to the market every morning that get sold out very quickly.
