An exciting Trek to Tilicho lake- Highest Lake in the World

Tilicho Lake - 4919 m
Tilicho Lake is situated in the Manang District of Nepal. It is one of the challenging trek in the Annapurna range due to its difficult geographical area. The Lake is situated at an altitude of 4,919 meters in the Annapurna range.
The long trekking trail takes about 18-20 days but we can short it out (due to time) by traveling the road access area by jeep.

Trip:

DAY 1: Itahari- Dumre-Besi Sahar- Manang

We travelled road access area from Itahari to Dumre and then Dumre to Besi Sahar and finally reached to Manang from besi Sahar through Jeep.

DAY 2: Manang -Khangsar - Tilicho Base Camp

At morning we leave Manang through Jeep and reached Khangsar. Then our trekking started to our destination Tilicho Base Camp. We reached there after a long hours trekking at 8 pm then we arranged our night dinner and place to sleep. We slept at Dinning hall at Bas Camp Hotel

Day 3: Tilicho Base Camp- Tilicho Lake- somewhere else

We wake up at 3 am and started our trekking to Tilicho lake because we need to return to base camp before 12 pm. There was high risk during trekking in. Landslide areas so before wind approach we camp back to base camp at 11 am after reaching to Tilicho lake. Then we leave base camp after taking so snacks and reached to a village for night stay.

Day 4 : Village - Thorang La Pass Hotel mathillo Fedi

This was longest trekking hours. We trek continuously for 14 hours since morning at 3 pm and reached our destination at 6 pm.

Day 5: Thorang La Pass Hotel -Thorang La Pass - Muktinath - Jomsom

We started our trek at morning 4 am and reached the most struggling place Thorang La Pass and continued our trek to Muktinath then we bath at 108 dhara and catched a bus to Jomsom after Muktinath temple visit.

Day 6: Jomsom - Pokhara-

Day 7 : Pokhara- Visit

Day 8: Pokhara- Itahari Home

Thanks a lot dear friend. The trek was completed in a hurry as Tihar festival of our country was at the door so needed to go home on time. Our team was so laborious.

…looks like a real hiking, pretty scary for me though @mukeshrijal19 I am afraid I can’t make it to the full circle. Do you need to be trained first?

I have not trained for that trekking…that’s all possible due to the egarnes to reach the heavenly place Tilicho lake and spirit of team member…many trekkers were caused by frost bite altitude sickness but our team made it without any casualties…
