When I visited my brother in Indonesia last April, he was treated at the RSUD Sultan Suriansyah, the hospital located not too far from the Barito River. This is the second-longest river that runs through Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan.
It’s not surprising when I spotted the Ambulance Rescue Boat. When living in a city or country with many rivers and the surrounding roads, housing, and businesses constructed around the river flow, an ambulance rescue boat is no rarity to the locals.
Just wish I had a chance to see it in action and would love to check the inside to see how the lay out etc.

I live near Lake Geneva (the largest lake in Europe). After reading your post, I did some research and found that there is a company that handles rescues: “Société internationale de sauvetage du Léman” (International Lake Geneva Rescue Society) with a yellow boat.

Im letzten Jahr fand im Eckernförder Hafen eine große Übung mit kleinen und großen Seerettungsbooten statt, sonst liegt nur ein kleines Rettungsboot ständig bei uns.

Wonderful the rescue boat in water indeed when you can’t even run or walk like land the boat is there working like an ambulance.
