Alona Beach, Bohol PH in your list

Hello everyone!
This is actually the first time I am posting a photo here on Local Guides Connect.

I am originally from Manila but I want to share with you, the photo of Alona Beach in Bohol last Nov 2019.

Accommodation Suggestion (just to name a few):

The list of hotels below are located in Panglao Island of Bohol.

  • Henann Resort Alona - 5 star beachfront resort hotel with around 400 rooms and villas.
  • Amorita Resort - is a 4-star beachfront just a few minutes away from Henann Alona.
  • Alona Kew White Beach Resort - 3 star beachfront hotel and one of budget-friendly accommodation in Alona Beach area.
  • Lost Horizon Resort and Annex - one of 3 stars beachfront resort in Alona Beach.

Tour Suggestions:

There are various tours to do when you are in Bohol, below are some of the highlights when visiting the place. Kindly take note that destinations to visit are kind-of-far from each other, but there is not much of a traffic.

  • Bohol Countryside Tour - preferably to do it in a whole day, various sites to visit such as the majestic Chocolate Hills, one of the home for the Tarsiers, the Tarsier Sanctuary and Tarsier Conservation Area (Applicable entrance fees applies), Blood Compact Monument, experience the thrilling rides at Loboc Ecotourism Adventure Park (Zipline, Cable Car), experience joyful and unforgettable moments of entertainers while having buffet lunch and on board the cruise at Loboc River (aka Loboc River Cruise), have a tremendous shot while you are in Mahogany Forest.
There are also other various things to visit in Bohol, for more info you check this link - https://www.thecrazytourist.com/25-best-things-bohol-philippines/
  • Balicasag Island Dive Resort - one of the to-go place especially for those who wants to experience marine life. You can get more info here on this website - https://www.sea-explorers.com/balicasag-island-panglao-bohol-philippines/

Other Details/Helpful Tips:

  • Alona Beach is around 30 - 40 minutes away, estimated 18 - 19 kilometers away from Bohol-Panglao International Airport.
  • If you originally stay in Cebu for your vacation, you can have a Bohol Countryside Tour in for a day then get back to Cebu via ferry. Ferry transfer is approximately 2 hours travel. You need to take ferry at Pier 1 in Cebu City where some ferry operators offer Cebu-Tagbilaran-Cebu routes. (Price for fare differs based on ferry operator).
  • The distance from Tagbilaran Seaport to the beach resort hotels is approximately 30-40 minutes drive / 18 kms away.
  • Some known malls in Tagbilaran City are BQ Mall and Island City Mall.
  • If you haven’t plan any tours for your vacation, there were a lot of people offering tours just outside the hotel.
  • If you know how to ride a motorcycle, you can rent also and you can drive to anywhere you want to go (was not able to ask for the price, but on my opinion, I think it is cheap)
  • Strictly "NO SMOKING IN PUBLIC AREAS" when you are in Tagbilaran City so be a good tourist and follow the rules so you won’t be paying any fine.

Hi @RianShin ,

Thank you for sharing your photo. Could you tell us more about it? Are you from Philippines? Is this place near you? I’ve never been there, not yet, and the beaches seem like a paradise.

Are there are tips and advice you’d like to share for first time visitors? Is it expensive there? Thanks!
