In recent days all reviews, rating to places are flagged as fake engagement. Examples:
A photo studio visit.
Municipality office visit
Library visit
All these places I genuinely visited and reviewed and not even a simple single word review after several edits also is not posted and flagged as Fake Engagement!
I could believe something wrong with words but event rating itself is flagged.
What could be wrong with my account or Google?
I am used and local guide level 6 with 60+ reviews in 10 years.
I took the time to read most of your public. It is as if you only use max or minimum stars. And many of your texts are surprising harsh. Keep in mind that there are people owning and running the businesses. You might be a lot more successful in facilitating improvements if you are more polite and also mention something they are good at. Try to me more helpful and not so condemning.
The spam filter is able to pick up on your sentiment/attitude and this might have resulted in a block put on your account.
Unfortunately, Google will not tell you exactly what you did wrong, so you are pretty much on your own to read the guidelines and reflect on your contributions.
I would recommend you to clean up your less than optimal reviews. Some are too short and fix the overly negative sentiment. It is okay to be negative if you justify ut by describing your experiences.
If that does not fix your problem please try this form
Thanks for reply. I agree to it, mostly I tend to post negative review for extremely poor experiences. I’ll try to edit a few (if google does not block my edits).
Surprisingly I see hundreds of Fake review (like we see fake instagram followers) which are allowed by google but harsh/negative reviews put blanket ban on accounts!
Edit: I tried to edit a few harsh reviews but they are also not posted citing fake
Hi @yogesh_10 I’m curious, why do you tend to give negative reviews? Do you never find anything positive about the places you visit? I agree with @MortenCopenhagen maybe that’s why your reviews are not shown
I think we all tend to rant/vent out on horrible experience only or unless something is exceptionally great! I get your point and I removed lot of reviews with negative sentiments but yet unable to post.
Well my concern was unable to post and the automated response I receive cites fake engagement even after appeal after appeal nothing happens which is overwall a bigger issue than my negative reviews.
I think it’s related. Maybe because too often giving negative reviews, your account will no longer be trusted. and the consequences are as they are now. Hopefully you will get the best solution from the Google Maps team.
