All inclusive accessibility: SCIAN village complex in photos.

In one of my posts on Local guide connect I did say that my priority is as a local guide is to promote an all inclusive accessibility. That is accessibility for all, where everyone irrespective creed, language, status, or gender and whether physically challenged or not can have free and equal access to information on Google maps to help them explore the world around them.

Recently, I and other local guides took an accessibility walk to one of the homes for the physically challenged – the Spinal Cord Injuries Association of Nigeria (SCIAN). Here most of the occupants are either on crutches or wheel chair driven so we have beamed the search light here because of the commitment to promote one-accessibility. This people are part and parcel of the larger society and so must be incorporated and given a sense of belonging. They say a picture is worth a thousand words so stay tuned as I bring moments of the visit to SCIAN village complex in photos.

@Onukakalu this is a significant work. I commend your humanitarian initiative and effort to map accessibility in your community. The complex looks really accessible seeing the your host was practically moving smoothly on his wheelchair. It has wide trails and doors to accomodate wheelchair comfortably;that is how every building and facility should be. Thank you for sharing the photos.

I would love to visit this place personally.

Cheers

Your walk on this path to highlight the issues faced by the disabled persons is good example for regulatory bodies working on accessibility projects.

thanks @SpecialGuide for making out time to read and comment. It is left for us Local guides to create the awareness so that these regulatory bodies can consider the physically challenged in their bills.
