Aligarh Fort: a connection to the past.

Aligarh fort, aligarh qila or bone chor(dwarf theaf) ka kila is a fort bulit by ibrahim lodhi in 1524-25.

It is present in the city of aligarh which lies in a northern indian state known as Uttar Pradesh.

It has a brief history and it was also used during the revolt of 1857.

Now after around 500 years only the ruins of the fort are present and this place is now a weekend spot so i visited it yesterday and took some photographs of this beautiful place.

When you will enter the place through the main gate you will find a big open garden near…

The fort and its surrounding area is now under the control of Aligarh Muslim University and they have built a beautiful botanical garden in the fort area…

In this botanical garden you will find alot of beautiful and colourful trees and flowers, some small animals and birds like koel birds, peacocks and ferrets, etc also live in this garden.

After the botanical garden you will many trails covered by bushes, shrubs and thorns, they will lead you to the main ruined structures of the fort and to the top of the area.

Some small tunnels and caves are scattered across the entire area…

The good thing about this place is that there is no ticket, entry fees or parking fees required to enter this beautiful place.

This place is a must visit place for nature lovers and history lovers.

The ambience of this place is really peaceful.

Greetings from India

I always try to explore as much as i can. By reviewing and adding small and unknown places we can make them more accessible to others.
