Last year I came across an AirBnb called "“Quartermile serviced apartments” (here, Simpson loan, Edinburgh) which is not a hotel. As far as I understand, airbnbs are not allowed on Google maps. Additionally it’s not open to the public as it’s a private accomodation block that it’s located inside of. I’ve tried deleting this location now 6-7 times over the past year using either “other” or “not open to the public”. I’ve also included photos as evidence and been stood outside the building when I’ve done this.
Is there anything that can be done about this?

I tried to understand this issue.
If http://www.apartmentsofedinburgh.com/ is a business and its offices are in Simpson Loan, Edinburgh EH3 9GG, UK then they are entitled to a listing on Google Maps.
You are correct that private homes for rent are not entitled to a pin on Google Maps.
The website reveals nothing about the location of the business. It might not even be in the UK.
The pin https://maps.app.goo.gl/aCc6dX4y5XrBn5Tu6 looks like a specific apartment, but the link does not show any info about that specific apartment. One photo suggests the apartment is located at #35.
It could be a business owning the apartment. Why do you think it is a private home?
