I’m glad you found the post helpful and informative.
Keeping up with new Google Maps features and sharing them with the community is always exciting.
The AI-powered photo captions definitely caught my attention, and I’m looking forward to seeing how they help Local Guides create even more useful contributions.
Hope you get access to the feature soon - I’d love to hear your thoughts on its accuracy and usefulness once you’ve had a chance to try it!
Thanks again for your kind words and continued support.
Thank you so much, dear @TravellerG !

I completely agree with you. AI-generated captions are a wonderful addition that can help Local Guides save time while making photo contributions more informative and accessible.
The feature is still new, but it already shows a lot of promise, they were very accurate.

Thanks for taking the time to read the post and share your thoughts.
Your encouragement is always appreciated!
Special thanks too…

Hi Dear @AdrianLunsong, Thank you for sharing your thoughts!
I completely agree that human review remains important. While AI-generated captions can provide a helpful starting point, Local Guides should definitely check and edit them when needed to ensure accuracy and add meaningful context.
You also raise a very valid point about accessibility. Captions can make photos much more useful for people who rely on screen readers or have visual impairments, helping them better understand the content of an image.
As for AI usage, I can see both sides of the discussion. Thoughtful and purposeful use of AI is certainly preferable to generating content where it doesn’t add much value. It will be interesting to see how Google balances convenience, accuracy, accessibility, and resource usage as this feature evolves.
Thanks again for contributing such a balanced perspective to the conversation!
Very useful information i love it
