After being a local guide, I find the world is more interesting than before

When we are on buses, trains, or metro, we find most people are focusing on their mobile phones only. They isolate themselves and ignore the people surrounding them. We expect the mobile phones are our tools to connect the world. In fact, the mobile devices make us isolate ourselves from the world.

If you are a commuter in the city, just ask yourself what color of the cloth of the passengers sitting next to you this morning. I am afraid that most of you cannot tell.

After being a local guide, my habit started to change. I will spend more time to observe the people, the buildings, the foods, the interesting things that surrounding me. My mobile phone is a tool for me take records and the local guide program is a place for me to share them. I enjoy to give comment and find the interesting things and keep all such records in the google map.

As I keep on spending more time to appreciate the world, I will find more interesting things come to me. For instance, most European love sunbathing but the people of South East Asia try to avoid the sunshine. When I was running in the Rama 9 garden of Bangkok, I often see that the local people love to covering themselves 100% preventing from sunshine. I guess they may scare skin cancer, dark spots, or tanned skin. Whatever the reason is, it is an interesting observation I can share in the local guide.

I do hope you may enjoy my input in the local guide too.
