There is an Afghan restaurant In Peshawar that offers a unique kind of burger, they call it afghani burger. It tastes delicious . If you are empty stomach a single burger is more than enough to finish your appetite. Price is reasonable and quality is more than good.
Afghan burger is an aggregate of : French fries, boiled egg, carrot, and vegetables salad wrapped up in a piece of Roti (Asian bread)
@ComradeShah Is there any meat inside or only vegetables and chips? It’s really interesting, I’ve never heard about it. It’s kind of street food, right?
@JustynaMad , yes, it is a street food. Even in pakistan I haven’t found it in any other cities. It is only served in Peshawar, and that too only in one single shop. . It might be possible that they have experimented it for their own as their own specialty. I tried to map the shop but I didn’t get the chance of properly doing it. The next time I visit, I aim to bring it on the map.
Yes it is purely vegetarian,no meat is included. Only boiled egg, a slice of boiled carrot, French fries, and vegetables salad is included, wrapped in Roti. I am not a pure vegetarian, but I tasted it, and it was delicious. The shop serve it along with a handmade tomato sauce, we call it Chatni in Pakistan. Chatni is served in small plastic bowls, a tablespoon, provided along, is used to pour chatni inside the burger and enjoy the delicious bites.
Sharing with you another look of afghani burger from my table.
