Ciudad Bolivar Cable
Hi my name is Jairo Esteban and Im a local guide from Colombia
The most people show the most beautiful places of their cities, I know its cool I have done it too, but in this occasion I want to show a part of my city Bogotá that many people here would not like to show. And many times this kind of places can be more interesting that the popular sites that sell in the magazine tourist.
Ciudad Bolivar it’s a part of Bogotá that was created for people displaced of the violence, the most people there aren’t from Bogotá. They were farmers that who the guerrilla or the paramilitaries groups forced to abandon their lands and the people migrated to the city searching new opportunities and works for to survive with their families in a metropolitan environment unknown for them. The place its similar to the Favelas in Brasil or Comunas in Medellin.
The zone developed disorderly, so the transport for 682 861 people there was really difficult because them have to climb the hill they have to go up to their houses and down for work on the city. But now thanks to the Transmicable cabins hanging form cables all this people can arrive faster and easily. And can enjoy the the landscape while up. This system its part of the transmilenio, the main system transport of the city and its possible to take the cable into the same passage for the buses of transmilenio.
I like to share this kind of videos on google maps because can be useful for people that want to visit the zone and i really love take a photos and videos with my drone and to help another people for to know my city Bogotá.
