Adovocacy for Peace through Sand Art: Odisha, India.

For sustainability of the human civilization, we often talk about 3 Ps: People, Planet and Profits. For analysis of business these are considered as the determinants. However, this debate has thrown another P-- PEACE to the back of everything. Its absence, I believe, will make the presence of other Ps ineffective in achieveing the goals of sustainability. Through Sand Art, some artists have sought to putforward the need for Peace. See the pics:

It takes place in and around Puri, not just on the Puri beach only. On the way to Konark through Chandrabhaga confluence this art festival took place.

Why you added Kaizen in your name. Kaizen is japanese meaning of change to better right??

Great idea indeed. Thanks for your appreciation. Number of sculptures that I found there was around thirty, but the festival was in progress. It was attended by artists from various countries.

It has become very popular now. Odisha is known for its rich cultural orientation. Beside this art form, this place is known for a dance form name Odishi. I captured many pictures on it also when the Dance Festival was going on. If any one finds interest in it may express the desire, I

shall submit some pictures on it also.
