Hi! Could “Subdivision” be a widely useful category that can be added? As in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Subdivision_(land) ? From where I am, I know this would be. Glad to contribute here.

Could you give a specific example where you could use this to add/update points of interest on Maps? The link you share refers to private housing areas and those are not elements that are meant to be mapped as point of interest (= the things local guides can work on).

As an example, categorizing a place of interest as a subdivision would dictate local details such as ingress/egress gates, road privacy, access schedules, conduct of business within and other related details that I may have not thought of. Entities submitting data on such details (like government) to Maps could probably benefit from this. Plus people widely and loosely use this term in our country like “I’ll probably end up leaving my driver’s license at the gate since its a subdivision”. On a relevant note, some private schools or even foreign embassies are housed within subdivisions due to its private nature, at least in our country.
Which country as you refering to @jaycarandang ? From all the definitions I have read so far, I still can’t find an interpretation of the term as something that stand for 1 single place on the map that would then require a category. What I read sounds more like a neighbourhood or a (gated) community, is that what you mean?

, that is exactly what I meant. The country I am actually referring to is the Philippines. If you happen to scroll down a bit within that Wikipedia link I referred to previously, you may even find a special mention about the Philippines on how this term is used for such places. Hope this helps.
