I am unable to add phone no for the places I have added in Google map.

For adding phone number you need to follow the process,
Select the business or place where you wants to add phone number. The look at this you will get an option name add phone number. Then select the option and add phone number. After Verifying your edit google will be publish this.For adding phone number you need to follow the process,

Please explain in greater detail what you mean @Kghosh . Do you not know how to do it (in which case the reply by @Saiyen should be helpful) or are your suggested edits automatically rejected?

In India, cheaters had misused this edit facility to alter the phone numbers and then fleece people. You can find many references to that in the news.
It may be so that the facility to edit the phone number is not available to LGs now.
Nevertheless, the owner can manage that through GMB.
PS. I opened the “check the facts” tab and scanned for edits to phone numbers. Surprisingly, not a single entry is there in India.
