I love shopping and the most of my contributions on google maps are about where to go for shopping what I am looking for without spending a lot of money; I could say that I am a local guide of smart purchases. It’s very important to me not only quality - price ratio, but also the store, where is located, has parking, I can go by public transport, is close to my home, where I’m staying or in a mall, it’s good for quick purchases. Since I’m a local guide who answers questions about the accessibility of a place, I always see the space of the buy places, if the have wheelchair access, have spacious fitting rooms or if a mother can move comfortably inside the store with her baby stroller. In order to write a complete review on google maps, I also remark on the store’s offers, its staff, payment options, as well as whether pets are allowed as there are buyers who love to go with their mascosts everywhere.
When I moved to a new city, I felt a little lost because I didn’t know where to buy, I had to pay with another currency, I didn’t know the value of the products in my new country of residence and every seemed expensive to me. It took me time to create lists of outdoor markets, household goods stores, grocery stores, pharmacies, bakeries, coffee shops and restaurants where I think I can get more for less. For this reason, I use hashtags in my reviews on google maps to quickly locate places; in case a tourist doesn’t speak Spanish, I often use emoji in my hashtags because it’s easy to understand, I created public lists, of my favorite cafeterias, for example; it’s my way of helping other people find what they are looking to buy without paying more. I have many lists to do and write more reviews of those places that only locals in a city know; but I am on the right way because the useful tools of google maps allow me to do it and it always surprise me by suggesting new places to go to.
