Today I was attempting to add a missing place on Google maps, and as am adding the location information / details / photos etc on my iPad the Google maps stopped responding and I had to repeat the whole process several times
until it went through, however later checking my email inbox I have found out that I got several email regarding the same place that I have added it, they all went through even when Google maps was not responding and I ended up adding the same place multiple time .
my question ( Is there anyway to fix this ? Or will it automatically get delete it while it’s in review keeping only one . ?

If you have low connection, Maps will keep your edit on hold, and send the data when the connectivity is back. In this case the best option is to wait, because the risk of duplicate is always possible.
Did you received a confirmation email that your edit were approved, or simply the “thank you” email?
Actually all your photos are related to an “unknown place” while, when a place is approved, for a few hours the place show a “see the place” indication.
If your edit still be pending, you will have to wait, until the edit will be approved or (hopefully) not applied.
If you have more than one edit applied, then you should remove the redundant photos and merge the places. This should not be difficult, if all the places have been added with the same category, name, address, and eventually phone number and website.

Google maps did crash several times, I had to relaunch it, eventually did restart my iPad, and I didn’t release it did kept my edits on hold and submitted them all same time.
I think I will remove the extra photos and keep only the first copy and hopefully only one edit gets approved, if not I will merge the rest to a single place …
