Dear Local Guides,
Greetings!!
Today we are going to talk about Primary School Modipur (also wrote the review) where a teacher teaches children, teaches them skills or arts. And a lot more about the school. It is a 30 minutes walk from Jotana Village.
Modipur is a village located in the Subdistrict Jotana, in the district Mehsana and the state of Gujarat. It is approximately 3 km away from Jotana.
About Primary School, Modipur
This school is situated at the entrance of Modipur village, and it is situated in Jotana block of Mehsana district, Gujarat state of India. This school is about 45 years old.

Class, Classroom & Office
There are about 6 rooms in this school, in which education is imparted till class 8th. Here the headmaster has the same classroom and office. Maybe this is his passion, which shows that children can be taught with love instead of scolding them.
The atmosphere here is clean, so that children will not face any hindrance in studying. A ramp has been built for the differently abled to go to the classroom. So that they do not face any problem.
All the classrooms are beautifully decorated. Children are studying on digital boards.
Play & Drawing Room (Activity Learning Classroom)
In this classroom, teachers teach about activities like songs, dancing, acting, painting and arts.
The way in which madam herself has interacted with the children and created wonderful drawings and arts is praiseworthy.
This is an activities learning room where children are prepared to make something themselves or showcase their art.
All the drawings or handmade crafts you saw above have been made by children. Of course Madam will help a lot in this.
Headmaster Trivedi Sir has told with great pride that when the lockdown was imposed, the entire environment and atmosphere had become stagnant. That’s when Urvashiben (Urvashiben Modi, Teacher) made all this happen and started teaching arts to the children and also runs a YouTube channel in the name of the school, in which she uploads videos of programs taking place in the school or any activity learning class.
Mid-day Meal or RO Water
The mid-day meal facility in government schools is very good. The best thing is that ONGC Jotana, Mehsana assets has installed RO system in this school so that children can get clean and pure water.
A ramp has been built for the differently-abled to go to the kitchen area and drinking water area.
Playground
There is a playground inside this shed where children play. And cultural activities also take place here. Sometimes vehicles are also parked on this side or a little to the side of it.
Madam has organised cultural programmes here many times, the video of which you can also see on the YouTube channel. You can watch video here.
The room and activities shown in the video are the same as the ones you just read about above.
Toilets or Washroom
The best thing about this school is that there is no shortage of toilets. There are about two toilets here, one of which has ramp (wheelchair) access.
The toilets for girls here do not have ramps. This can cause problems for differently abled people but as I saw two toilets above that had ramps, it can be said that differently abled people will not face any problem.
Parking
Regarding parking, I have already told you that there is a playground in a shed and parking on the side as well.
These two photos are as a bonus for you, I am joking. The one on the top was taken when I entered the school and the other was taken when I came out of the school. And you can also see here that there is a better ramp for a wheelchair.
