Accessibility: WHO Global Network for Age-friendly Cities and Communities (Part -1) for You & Me - TravellerG

This is the first time I have heard about age-friendly initiative, there are so many communities that are working for this cause. But not yet recognised on WHO. Thank you for sharing I shall share this post with my family and friends @TravellerG
Regards,

Thank you so much, dear LG friend Shreya…
You are the first person to offer this…

In our big country - India - only Kochi is recognised by WHO as Age-Friendly City…
“Healthy Aging” has a very deep meaning…
The same way…
“Intergenerational Community” - remind you about our grandmother telling us stories… Right?
Well… unfortunately, the awareness of these topics are very limited in our country.
Very happy to know that you are interested in these…
Thank you very, very much…

I have worked with several NGO’s and communities in past 6 years where we have encouraged women children and old people to engage with each other to better there life. So, yes we still need to break this stereotype of age as anyone with a will and strength to show there enthusiasm and determination can defy age.
