Accessibility & Updates About Ekdalia Durga Puja Pandal

During my pandal-hopping programme, I decided to visit one of the most popular pandals in the area, the Ekdalia Evergreen Club Durga Puja Pandal. So I started following the Google Maps from the main road, Reshbehari Avenue, and I saw that many people were going in that direction.

Important Update for the People of Kolkata

Google Maps was showing the most convenient and shortcut way to reach Ekdalia, and as I remember, last year I also went this way. When I reached there, the police told me and others that we can’t enter from there; we have to follow a long, roundabout way and enter from there.

We followed the way they told us, and it was more than a kilometre. There also the police said to me that, this is the exit point, you have to follow another short roundabout way for the entry; this time it was about 300 m, but it’s also too much due to the overcrowding.

Finally, we enter from there, so those who are coming from Reshbehari Avenue, please don’t follow the Ekdalia Road; instead, follow the NC Chowdhury Road.

When I entered the pandal, I saw that there were wooden ramps to make the pandal accessible, and even saw a person enjoying the beautiful pandal in a wheelchair. It gives another level of happiness. So this pandal is fully accessible.
