Metro Rail has started in Dhaka from 28th December 2022. People are taking advantages of this mass transit. From this year metro will run in full scale. Newly metro stations are attractive and have various kinds of facilities for passengers. Theses stations have various kinds of accessibility feathers for specially needed passengers. All the stations have the same design and same facilities. I am presenting some accessibility feathers (along with others) of new build metro station at Kazipara, Dhaka.

Entrance to the escalator from the sidewalk. Nicely arranged tactile paving available.
Lift at the side walk that is usable only by pregnant, patients and specially needed people.
Main Staircase to enter or exit. Tactile paving elements used accordingly for specially needed people.
Information borard for all. Information written in both Bangla and English. Necessary instruction given here.

Entrance area to the platform.
Ticket vending machines height is sutable for any wheel chair user.
Sitting area at plaform Height of the bench is suitable for wheel chair user.
Main platform. Nicely marked with tactile blocks.
Gate beteen train and platform. Tactile blocks have been used properly for specially needed people.
Lift at the platfrom. Not for ordinary passenger as mentioned befoe.
Corridor to the exit. Nicely used tactile blocks.
Emergency Exit.
Exit to the staircase.
Separate washrooms for male, female and specially needed peropls.
Common footpath under the station. Tactile blocks have been used nicly here also.
