Accepted update to an address never shows up

The address “Kerkzicht 301, 2215 DX, Voorhout, The Netherlands” is incorrect. But I can’t seem to be able to fix it. The postal code in Maps is 2215 KT, but it should be 2215 DX.

Quite a few times i’ve submitted a change and it got accepted. But when i look in Maps it still shows the wrong postal code. Even days, or weeks, or months later. I’ve also asked friends to submit a change. But nothing seems to work. Even though Maps says it accepted the change.

Any ideas? Did anyone experience a similar issue? What can i do to fix this as a Local Guide?

Hello, @Guuz
I suggest you take up the requirement in the Maps support forum.
Here is a link to that.

https://support.google.com/maps
Also, here I found a similar case & successful resolution of that through the suggested route.

Hi @Guuz

You have shared where you live. Please consider removing your address from the text and your photo to protect your privacy.

I’ll make changes!

Thanks @C_T , ill look for more help there!

Hi @Guuz

It would be really helpful if you would use the tagging tool when replying to someone here on Connect. Type @ followed by the username. Type slowly. Then we get an e-mail notification and you are more likely to get a prompt reply.

In this case I would send feedback and not just suggest an edit. But maybe that is what you already did?

The feedback should be about the entire street and not just one house number if the error affects other house numbers also.

@MortenCopenhagen ah… the UI is confusing to me about this. It shows an individual “Reply” button on every reply someone makes. So i assumed that if i reply to your message, or that of someone else, that it would show it kinda like a thread. But i see now that this forum works differently :slightly_smiling_face: There are no threaded conversations.

I’m gonna try both suggestions! using support.googlemaps.com and also sending the feedback again like you suggested.
@C_T send this; https://support.google.com/maps/thread/38417424?hl=en
which is hopeful since it sounds like somebody managed to resolve a similar issue to mine.

@Guuz

Hitting reply here on Connect is not a normal thread function. And I agree it is confusing. Replying to a reply will position your reply next to/under. But they will be pushed down should others do the same.

Best of luck
