Google Maps has always been a surprise for me. From instances when I am just back from a romantic date to a tired mundane day at office to a nonchalant day doing nothing. I like the feeling of being asked about my visit to various places throughout the day, and adding in my experiences. Personally I just love to share pictures of places visited, as it speaks volumes about it.
I believe every individual may have a different perspective towards the same thing. By sharing more and more pictures I make sure the one reading my review gets a fair overview and is not just biased by my own perspective and review comments 
I would definitely want people to add places I have visited to their “wishlist” and so they know they are nearby any of the places in their bucket list.
Sometime down the line, I would also like a feature to be able to add and view some kind of trivia / historical significance/ personal experiences related to places on maps to give that personal touch of a guide!!
