- I would love to read what other Google Connects are writing. Could there be a feature where you long press on the information and it is translated in your preferred language?
I think connect should add language translation here so that Local Guides can be able to write their posts in any language of their choice. I am sure there are people in Paris that French is their first language and they can’t post here because they can’t write English.
Good idea.
Actually, you already can translate to any language of your choice on Local Guides Connect. If you click on any post, there’s a little Google tab that has a drop-down menu of a bunch of languages. So even if someone wrote in French, you can still read it in English (and vice-versa).
Hello @ShanayeJamali ,
The Google Translate widget is available on every page so posts can be easily translated. For example on Idea exchange board there is a tab - Select language with drop-down menu from where you can choose the language.
P.S. I am going to move your post to How-tos since it fits better there.
Hello @Glogeworld ,
As @NYCGALOUT mentioned the Google Translate widget is available on every page so posts can be easily translated.
To keep things organized I am going to merge your idea with this one - Ability to translate post.
Ok awesome. It wasn’t working on my end. I just updated my homescreen tab. Thanks guys
Bonjour.
De pouvoir transformer les textes, des local guides en FRANÇAIS ?
Pour moi ce serait merveilleux.
Merci
Hi @Jp13 ,
The Google Translate widget is available on every page so posts can be easily translated. You can locate the widget next to the title of the post - Select language the drop-down menu from where you can choose the language.
To keep Connect organized, I am merging your post to an ongoing thread with the title Ability to translate post.
