A weekend in the Montreal of the 18th Century

Every August, the Museum Pointe-à-Callière (Montreal Museum of Archaeology and History) give visitors and locals the opportunity to be part of one weekend in an 18th-century market. This edition was spectacular as the weather was gracious with the city: the sky was blue and the sun was warm enough to still convince us that Summer is not yet leaving us…

I wanted to make this post a shout-out to the amazing group of actors and historic reenactment enthusiasts that made the first day of the already traditional Public Market a success. You will have to visit our city next year to be part of this experience in Old Montreal in their 2020 edition.

More about this amazing museum -where you can learn about the history of this French speaker city- in my review.

Thanks @Ant_Bad_Yogi for your kind comments. Actually, don’t say it to anyone but my favorite activity is to eat from different places… LOL… I will share with you a few pics that demonstrate what are we talking about…

That’s my all-time favorite activity as well @LuisMGonzalez :D,

It looks like the clock turned back in time. Were there only actors participating or there was cosplaying as well?

By the way, posts with more content and good photos have a good chance of being featured or chosen for a Friday Favorite post. You can check the favorite posts from the previous week.

This is interesting. Celebrating history, culture and getting citizens involved lives great memories. I see the ancient clothings and hats reminds me of English dramas I used to watch as a teen. Thanks for sharing @LuisMGonzalez

@Giuseppe75 you are very welcome. Yes, this is an amazing and beautiful country to visit. My wife and I tried, since we arrived in 2007, to spend time visiting different provinces. I will be posting in the near future my favorite landmarks and places from Canada that I visited and had the pleasure of portrait. Have a great day you too, my friend!
