A walk along the Doha Corniche

A walk along the Doha Corniche is really enjoyable. The Corniche is the waterfront or roadway and walkway that joins the land to the ocean.

The Qatari local people enjoy as well as expats and tourists. I hope you get the opportunity to enjoy as much as me.

Nice photo as always @TheEagleEye ,

The skyline of Doha looks unreal, like something straight of the Jetsons. A few flying cars wouldn’t be out of place here.

I suppose this time is of lower temperatures now in Qatar, and by lower I just mean less hot. I would love to see Qatar and the UAE around the winter time.

Which time of year would you recommend if I would prefers to escape the heatwave?

Thanks for message @MortenSI . From November to March are good months to visit the Middle East as the day time temperatures are mostly like a normal summer for most countries, at around 20 - 30 C. In the evenings can get cool so warm clothing is required. There is rain but usually very little. When it does rain, it normally comes down all at once. A few days after rain, the wind can blow up sand storms because the rain loosens up the hard crust of the sand in the desert.

You would enjoy visiting Middle East countries.

I’ve visited Egypt a few times during winter @TheEagleEye . I’m not sure if the climate is the exact same but it was great with warm temperatures during the day and a bit cooler in the evening just like you said.

I’ve been told that the summer season is way too hot for northern people so I will definitely stick with visiting in the winter.

Thank you for the advice!

The hot months are when the locals go on vacation @MortenSI , so the city is much quieter. I’ve had 12 years of it so are very climatised.

I see @TheEagleEye , so the hot period has its benefits as it won’t be as crowded. I would probably still prefer the cooler months.
