EXPLORING COAL CITY:MY UNTOLD STORY.
On August 26th 2018, I was opportuned to visit Enugu (The coal city)in Nigeria . It was a indeed a wonderful experience for me because of the places I visited. Of course I have Martin Chuks to the thank for this trip.
We got to Enugu at about 12:00pm and from 4-corner junction, we drove straight to Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) main campus at Agbani to pick up my younger brother, Chibueze Nnagbo. Then from the university we visited Ogbete market, beside the Holy Ghost Cathedral, Enugu, to pick up a waybill. Then we went over to see Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Emene, Enugu.
At the airport we spoke to some security personnel who gave us access into the airport. We went in to see it, snapped some pictures and from there we went to a restaurant to take lunch, there I took fresh fish pepper soup as appetizer and spaghetti bolognaise with chicken as the main dish.
I was so overwhelmed because it was my first time of tasting the food, and I must confess, it was yummy. I really enjoyed the meal that I wished it won’t finish. We moved from the restaurant, after the lunch, and drove to the city mall (Shoprite) located at the Polo park, Enugu, opposite the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT,) Enugu. I must confess that the city mall at Enugu is the biggest I’ve visited so far. The Polo park complex is very inviting with its merry-go-round and a PlayStation, among others. However, my regret was that there was no cinema theatre in the mall complex. We strolled round the mall, took pictures and we really had fun.
Then we paid a short visit to the famous Bigard Memorial Seminary (BMS), Enugu (perhaps the oldest major seminary in West Africa).
After a few more sight-seeing visits we drove back to Awka later in the evening, about an hour drive.
