A Tour of Manchester United Stadium(Old Trafford)

Have you ever thought of having a look at some of the best English Football Team’s Stadium?

This will definitely help you if you are thinking of doing a Tour of any Team’s Stadium as I share my experience here.

Manchester is a must-go-to location and it is located in North West of England. It was once a Powerhouse of Industry and you can still get those Vibes while you enter Manchester. You will find Honey Bee ? Pictures everywhere when you visit Manchester and The Honey Bee symbolizes - City’s energy and work ethics. It has also come to represent Unity among the people.

I was fortunate to visit one of the best stadiums of England- Old Trafford also called The Theatre of Dreams.

If you Plan to Visit Any stadiums in England, you will need to book in advance (for your ease) and also reach before time as the Tour guides have to look after the entire batch and No one should miss any part of the Tour.

I booked the Tour 2 days ago through their official website and reaching Old Trafford was made very easy- credits go to ’ GOOGLE MAPS’. It was a chilly day and I was freezing with cold. I booked the last slot of that day tour. I remember paying around 25 Pounds for my ticket but If you are a student studying in the UK, use your Student ID discount.

You will be provided with a Tour ID card which you should wear during the entire Tour. Your tour starts from the entry gate as the guide takes you through the history of Manchester. Everyone also gets to enter the Player Dressing room where World-Class players sit before the match and discuss strategies. You will be astounded to see the strategy any football Home team uses to make their opponent nervous. Want to know :grey_question:

Home team makes their Player’s changing room filled with bright lights & Colours, aesthetic interiors and many Positive pictures but the opponent team’s dressing room is made shady, dull and not so aesthetic. I was not knowing this fact earlier but got to know after guide shared the Secret with everyone. Also, we got to go to the Conference room where post-match discussion happens and is telecasted on our TV.

There is a wonderful museum too where you will know about history in detail with their Achievements and trophies earned till date.

After this, here comes the best part-View of the Football ground. You have to take a seat and hear what the guide says. Trust me whatever he says is very interesting and you can even ask your questions. It’s an interactive session.

Note: Please don’t touch or walk on the green field as their maintenance is costly and No guide would like to spoil the lovely field.

You will walk from one end of the stadium to the other end of the stadium- Sir Bobby Charlton stand, Sir Alex Ferguson Stand, Stretford End.

You can Shop their merchandise and goodies after this part of the tour.

You will love walking and getting amused by the way they communicate with you.

You can also watch their match but its ticket is costly and you need to also take out around 1.5-2 hours for the match and manage your other travel destinations too.

Don’t forget to click awesome pictures of you and your loved ones in front of ’ The United Trinity Statue’ in front of the entrance.

Thank you for a wonderful virtual tour of the Manchester United stadium @AbhijeetHodbe

Though not a great follower of the football clubs in England, my interest is quite aroused after reading the little and amusing insights of what ha[[ens behind the curtains. So it appears that the game of football does not start at the whistle of the referee but starts much ahead in the dressing room :innocent: vert interesting.

Yea. The game of football starts even before being on the field. These were the exact words our Guide told us that day. Thank you for making me remember it .

I am happy that I could give a Virtual tour of the Stadium and also make @Rohan10 @AjitThite and You make a Travel Plan . Can’t wait to hear from you guys !

Now there’s a place with a difference to visit. I really enjoyed your post @AbhijeetHodbe and thanks for sharing your experience with us. Did you have to maintain social distancing during your Old Trafford tour? Here are some Arsenal v Sheffield United pre-match photos at the Emirates Stadium Arsenal. The atmosphere was just amazing. The game ended up in a 1-all draw.

hello @AdamGT .

Glad that you enjoyed the post and liked it too.

I visited the Old Trafford Stadium before coronavirus was introduced to the world and hence there was no social distancing as such but everyone made sure that they were not so close to each other which would make a problem while touring the stadium.

Thanks for sharing the Emirates stadium picture. It really is very amusing to look at the ground every time and as the match ended with a draw, surely it must have been an exciting game.

Hi @AbhijeetHodbe

Oh I thought you went on the tour recently and that’s why I asked about the social distancing. Yes even in a draw, as you can imagine at any European Premier match, the atmosphere was electric. I have more photos to add but just so busy doing so many things lol. Coincidentally I only today added the Emirates Arsenal review because I came across my photos and then I saw your post on Old Trafford here on Connect…really spooky!

It’s really great that you are asking about Social distancing as it is need of the hour @AdamGT .

I wish I was fortunate to experience such an electric match while my stay in the UK but during my stay, EPL was in for a break period ie; NO matches.

We all get busy in our daily life but still, I would suggest you take out 15-20 minutes only and upload pictures and information about the Emirates Stadium so other visitors could be benefitted by your experience.

Great to have you on my connect profile.

Stay safe and Have a great day @AdamGT

Oooh… I used to be based in Manchester @AbhijeetHodbe ! I’m glad you had a great time at the Theatre of Dreams. Did you try going to the Manchester City Etihad stadium as well or are you not a fan of that team? I hope you had a great time in Manchester although I think the weather has gone quite cold these past few days!

Hello @AdrianLunsong .

It’s great to know you were based in such a pretty place-Manchester.

I did visit many other places and stadiums in the UK but couldn’t visit the incredible Etihad Stadium as Booking slots were not available at that time. I will surely visit it on my next trip to the UK. Hope to find you somewhere near  .

Is Manchester City your favourite team? I would love to hear it.

Ohhh, I am from a humid place-Mumbai and I cannot imagine the cold weather In the month of September.

Hope you are having a great day Adrian!

@AbhijeetHodbe I’ve been in the UK since 2000 and recently moved back to Malaysia. So I’m used to the cold weather and currently struggling with the humidity and heat in Malaysia!

I don’t actually follow football much to the dismay of my friends since I was in Manchester with not one but two amazing football clubs and also near to Liverpool (which my brother and my dad are fans of). And I guess you could consider Everton a decent club too. I think. :joy:

Ohhh it would be quite different climate UK to Malaysia :snowflake: :fire_engine:
