On my recent tour visited this Temple. No Restrictions to take Photos or Videos

Name Sri Abirami Amirthakadeswarar Temple known as 60th Marriage Temple

Location Thirukadaiyur, South Tamil Nadu, India.

Its history dates back to 7th Century.

Why it’s called 60th Marriage Temple

If the husband celebrate his 60th Birthday and his wife is alive, the Children conduct a wedding for their Parents in this Temple

Very interesting Practice and Rituals, and one can see the wedding takes place everyday and people visit far and near.

The 60th Marriage is conducted here by the Children of the Parents, father actually 60 years old and mother alive.

Very interesting indeed. You described the story which starts with 60th and then moves the number at a gap of ten. Can it be 100th or even more? Is there any such record?

The traditional wedding done here is

Simple

  1. When husband completes 60, 70 or 80 years of age and his wife is alive, like another Wedding is done for the old couples

  2. This is not Wedding Anniversary celebration.

  3. This wedding will be organized by their Children.
