A Short Trip to Phuket, Thailand

Hello Local Guides,

As a sea lover I was thinking to visit Phuket and we went to Phuket last week on our anniversary day. We reached there from Kolkata, India via Bangkok. Air Asia has very good in flight service. At around 4 AM local time we reached Phuket International Airport, Thailand.

We had EVOA (e visa) earlier so immigration was very smooth. It hardly took a few minutes. From the airport we took a cab service to Patong Lodge Hotel, it took 55 minutes to reach there. The hotel is located on Patong Beach.

We were in Phuket for 4 days. Visited a local temple, Patong Beach, ate seafood at a famous fish market called Bangla Bazaar. Riding Tuk - Tuk (mini van) was fun, our two year old daughter really loved the ride.

On the last day we checked out from the hotel and went to Freedom Beach. Entering Freedom Beach was a challenging task for us. An entrance to Independence Beach is located on a cliff. After paying 100 Thai Baht (TBT) we went down about 80 steps to reach the beach.

The beach is surrounded by some hills. Color of sea water is almost green. Probably the best place for photographers.

The natural beauty of the beach is simply amazing. The green colored water is bright. Like others we bathed for about an hour, had local drinks and ice cream. Around 2pm we returned to the hotel to collect our bags, then took the airport shuttle to the airport. Our return flight was scheduled to take off at 7pm. We reached Kolkata (CCU) via Bangkok at midnight. It was a wonderful visit for us.

Have you visited Thailand before? If so, please share your experience with me.

Yes, Doctor, twice… The first one was decades back & 2nd one in 2015 or so… Unfortunately, I couldn’t locate the photos.

Your photos are very impressive and the post is informative too.
