Well,
uhm… hello!
My name is Daniel and I’m a local guide living in Bucharest, the capital of Romania.
I am writing this post as a reply to the question: “What does the Local Guides program mean to you?”
Being a young man and a bit of a wanderer, I find this program very fit as a quiet companion with whom I can impart feelings, opinions, pictures, videos and even news that are useful for tourists, strangers, or people who are looking for companies or shops.
I do believe the ratings & reviews feature is very useful for people who are looking for services within an area, so if someone had a good or bad experience they can easily make it public and others can take their measures or at least they know what they can expect.
Along with that, many times it happens that when I want to travel to a new place I automatically want to see something from those places and thanks to this program I am able to get a glimpse of what’s ahead of me. Therefore I’m trying to do the same for others by capturing as many important places I can and send them into the digital.
So, long story short, I find this program playful, useful and pleasant and I’m happy to contribute.
And above all, Google Maps is a must-have for anyone that travels and it is we, the guides, who are making the world an even safer and explorable place.
Judge and rate them all! :-))
Cheers,
