Jabi Boat Club is one of the most popular tourist spots in Abuja, Nigeria because of its proximity to the largest body of water in Abuja as well as its host of water related activities available here. Eventhough I have visited the boat club multiple times for some reason I never reviewed it on Google Maps.
Describe what the photo is all about, what it means to you and what makes it a great photo.
On 2nd October 2020, I visited Jabi Boat Club to attend a live show in honour of the Abuja Plantain Festival 2020 (I have an artcile on my food blog about this festival) and during the live show, I received a prompt from Google Maps which summarily stated that “why don’t you post a recent photo showing the store front of this place?” and so I did.
The photo I’ve selected shows the Entrance to Jabi Boat Club. Here is a direct link to the photo. You see my review of this place and all my photos here. As pretty and functional phto, this photo and its caption on Google Maps enables any user to easily identity the main entrance to Jabi Boat Club. In the photo, you can see the clear blue skies, peeking greenery of the boat club, the bamboo gateway, tiki inspired vibes of the club, the name of club and its golden logo. You can also see a bit of the mantra of the club “live, laugh, love.”
I think its a great photo because it is a horizontal image, a crisp well-balanced photo that is natural, beautiful, useful and showcases a storefront. The Boat Club is located behind a hotel and this photo helps you easily find out how the entrance to the club looks like. As a recent photo, it also lets map users know what to expect when they visit the boat club.
How would this photo help the business listing?
At the time I posted this image, it used to be one of the featured photos. I believe this photo would help the boat club because it is clearly shows the storefront of the club as well as its name, logo and tiki inspired vibe. The bamboo gives you an idea of what most of the structures in the club would look like and the peeking greenery prepares you for what awaits at the boat club.
