While I was exploring a serene spot recently, I came across a small Shiva temple nestled in the hills — surrounded by nature, silence, and simplicity.
There’s no direct road to reach the temple. Visitors have to park their vehicles near the roadside and walk from there. On the way, you need to cross a small stream and then climb a hill. The entire walk takes about 30 minutes.
Though the path is a bit of a trek, the peaceful surroundings and scenic beauty make the effort totally worth it.
It’s unclear whether regular prayers or pujas are conducted here, but it feels like a sacred and calming place. There are also natural water resources nearby, adding to the charm of the environment.
This temple is perfect for those who enjoy quiet moments in nature and are open to a short, refreshing hike. It’s not a commercial or crowded place — just raw nature and a simple shrine offering peace.
It’s best to carry water, wear comfortable shoes, and avoid visiting during summer, as the heat can be quite intense. Early mornings or late afternoons during cooler hours are more suitable
Have you visited similar hilltop or remote temples? Would love to hear your experiences!
NOTE: When I visited, the temple was closed, so I couldn’t gather exact details about its daily functioning. However, some nearby locals mentioned that special poojas are performed here every year on the occasion of MahaShivaratri . As of now, the temple’s regular timings are not known.
Hi, @KarunaBabu the information you have provided about the place is relevant put the pictures you have added are of landscape and the second one is of the windmills. The real pictures of the temple are missing and other information are also pending such as Temple timings, Review and location link, Wheelchair Accessibility, Wheelchair Parking and Aarti timings. Please edit your post and provide clear and accurate information about the place by inserting review and location link, pictures of the temple and main information about the temple including it’s open and close timings
The trek itself sounds like part of the blessing a peaceful walk through nature leading to a serene temple. Definitely a spot for those seeking calm and connection over crowds.
@AbhijeetUniyal Sir, when I visited, the temple was closed. I have a photo of a deity nearby, but it is just a file photo. I have attached it here. I’m not sure when the temple opens. I spotted the temple while trekking with friends. It’s located on a hill, and usually, there aren’t many people around.
However, the local villagers told me that once a year, on the occasion of Shivaratri, special poojas are performed there.
@Shubham.Singh Thank you so much! You’ve expressed it beautifully — the walk itself truly feels like part of the experience. Being surrounded by nature while heading toward such a peaceful spot brings a kind of calm that’s hard to put into words. I’m really glad you connected with that feeling. Places like these are meant for quiet moments and gentle reflection.
