A new GSV Blue Line of the "National Park of the Archipelago of La Maddalena"

Hello everyone!

I am happy to announce that I have finally done it! After many trials and errors, Street View Studio has processed my GSV Blue Line of a beautiful path that winds through the north of the main island of the enchanting La Maddalena archipelago. It is a scenic route that starts from a camping area and goes all the way to the stunning “Punta Abbattoggia,” where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the sea. Isn’t it fantastic? That is a really peaceful place where relax, swim and dive and, even in august, you will be alone with your friends only.

But that’s not all! As you may already know, my dream is to map all the trails in this wonderful area called “National Park of the Archipelago of La Maddalena” and show you its natural and historical beauty. Well, thanks to the precious help of @ErmesT and the many tips and ideas I found by reading your posts, my project is about to become a reality!

Look at this photo of the archipelago: doesn’t it look like a paradise?

Here is the GSV Blue Line that I created:https://earth.google.com/web/@41.25865481,9.40003975,-22.39422417a,0d,60y,275.12948721h,83.28974488t,0r/data=IjAKLEFGMVFpcE1neTJwdUpVdVNNUVhnLU4xUUNfWDdOT3ZrSVF6WVgyVHNDU28tEAU

I am very proud of the result and I hope you like it! Furthermore, I had the pleasure of contacting the Director of the national park of the archipelago, who has agreed to meet me in mid-April to discuss my project. I am truly excited and grateful for this opportunity! In short, I can only thank you all for your support and ideas that have inspired and motivated me to pursue my passion. I will keep you updated on my progress and invite you to follow me on this adventure.

This is the actual situation of how the archipelago is covered by the GSV Blue Lines. Lots of work!

If you have any other suggestions or ideas to give me, they are always welcome!

I really enjoy exchanging thoughts with you .

Thank you again! Marco

Hi @MarcoDavoli

Wow, what a very challenging activity. I’m sure when our content is finally published, that much tiredness pays off. Congratulations, buddy. Truly extraordinary

Hello @br14n ,

thanks for your words and support.

I do know that it will be a really challenging activities. I understood that at the “park office” could be problem to obtain GPS data of the trail. So I do have to create all the track by myself because, in many areas, the signal is so poor that my mobile phone and gps lost the signal. Already mapped 50% of the trails by hand.

Will post results as available from StreetView Studio. The one I posted was into “processing mode” since 13th of february and the other one… not jet processed!.

Thanks again

Take care

Marco

Well, the more we record 360 videos and try to upload them, the more data errors we will encounter. I had quite a few upload failures, but I kept trying. Really grateful, my footage at the top of the Bromo volcano was published and it looks like it will last quite a while Streetview cars won’t go there, right?
