A humorous photo taken at the Louvre Museum

I like street photography.

I like people, there is always something new for you to see for you to capture every day

Their motion and emotion, state of mind, details - can be funny, can be sad, can be absurd.

This is a photo I took at Louvre when our family visited Europe a couple of years ago.

The Louvre Museum was an eye-opener - we got to see all the famous art only seen in the art history textbook.

This is one of many photos I took. This man obviously was a tourist staring at this sculpture (can someone tell me which this is?)

His head was almost bold while the sculpture is bald too.

Just this moment, less than a second, I clicked the shutter. Every time I see this photo, I just feel bemused.

Hi @OliverKIWI

Thanks for sharing your photo! How lucky you are to have been to the Louvre. Last time I tried the line was so long I decided not to, so there is still something waiting for me in Paris to see.

Street photography is really amazing when you capture people as, like you said, they are always different and pure emotions. Have you taken a lot of photo of people? I tried to do it once, but I guess then, I was too embarrassed. :slightly_smiling_face:

@DanniS I like to observe human beings through my lens. Street photography is my passion. My favourite photographers are Henry Cartier Bresson, Steve McCurry and James Netechwey. I will share a whole series of photos. Yes, you will need to be a little bit cheeky sometimes. So glad you like my pix:)

Cool! Would love to see more. You can do a new post about some Street photography to share with us. It would be nice to know how you prepare for it and if you ask people to take their photos? Thanks!

@DanniS Thanx for your comment!

I’d like to do two posts in particular.

  1. My photography journey - a brief introduction of how I get into photography, my take on different genre, my aesthetics, my gears etc.

  2. Common mistakes and how to avoid them. I’ve seen some amazing photos here, and also some average ones as well. I hope to push the general quality of photos to a higher level with some easy tricks and tips.

If you or any other moderators have any suggestion or initiatives, please let me know. I am keen to share and to contribute.
